  • She’s the original Alice Roosevelt, but I’ve tagged everything about her daughter as Alice Roosevelt (instead of Alice Roosevelt Longworth) and so now I have a big mess on my hands. Most of the posts linked to with the more button will be about her daughter instead. Whatareyagonnado? I have some cleaning up to do.

  • Died two days after giving birth to Alice Roosevelt.

  • Read a book that claimed that Edith Roosevelt (Theodore’s second wife) claimed that if Alice hadn’t died, Roosevelt would have been driven to suicide by sheer boredom. I had some gripes about that book to begin with, but I recently heard from an author also thinks that’s baloney. I have some more reading to do.
